Through hands-on activities, exercises, and presentations, Nate and Wendy identify the essential building blocks basic to the structure of a satisfying picture book in today's marketplace. They also discuss a repertoire of practical tools for assessing and strengthening those same elements critical to your work, whether you're an author, illustrator, or author/illustrator who is published, well-seasoned, or new to the craft. Participants bring a manuscript-in-progress or sketch dummy-in-progress to use during the workshop. This is a 6-hour workshop.
